Hantavirus Tracker — Live 2026 Outbreak Map & Case Data
Hantavirus Tracker is a live, global view of the 2026 Hantavirus outbreak. The map plots 107 confirmed, suspected, and monitored cases across 20 countries with 3 reported deaths, including the MV Hondius (Andes virus, ANDV) cruise-ship cluster and downstream cases in Switzerland, the Netherlands, South Africa, Singapore, the United Kingdom, the United States, Cape Verde, and Argentina. Cases are aggregated from public-health agencies (CDC, WHO Disease Outbreak News, Swiss BAG) and verified press reports. Data is updated every few hours.
Hantaviruses are a family of rodent-borne viruses that cause two main human syndromes: Hantavirus Pulmonary Syndrome (HPS), associated with New World strains like Sin Nombre virus and Andes virus, and Hemorrhagic Fever with Renal Syndrome (HFRS), associated with Old World strains such as Seoul, Puumala, and Dobrava viruses. The Andes virus (ANDV) is the only hantavirus known to spread between humans.
